Everything started in 1981 when my father bought our first golden retriever Max, from the Chrys-Haefen kennel of Toronto. We immediately fell in love with the breed. A few years later we continued our experiment with Sunny.
At 9 years old, I got my feet wet in the canine world by taking part in the Junior Handler competitions and I won the provincial title twice. At 14, I went to see Jennifer McAuley of the Chrys-Haefen Kennel to buy Sheana.
It is thus with Sheana in 1988 that my breeding began. An unforgettable experiment filled with memories. I remained active in the dog shows and in 1991, I became youngest professional handler in Canada (C.P.H.A.). My father and I made the Dog Show circuits for several years. I showed Brutus who won many titles including Best of Breed at the prestigious National Speciality. He was for a long time one of the 10 best goldens in history (Canada).
In 1993, my parents built a new house and kennel in Ste-Julie which enabled them to offer boarding and give us the possibilities to improve our breeding. In 2002, my husband Dominic, and I, bought the house and the kennel.
Since, I obtained my judging licence for dog shows. As for competition, we remain always active. Hunter, one of our dogs, is the top winning golden of all time in Canada.
My husband Dominic and I are happy to share our passion with the families who choose the Majesty Kennel to discover the most extraordinary breed of dog which is "the golden retriever".
Several dogs , which were bred here, have won many prizes in conformation, as well as in obedience, and some of them tried their chances as guide dogs and zoo therapy companions.
We are proud of our breeding and of the fame we have built, as we became a reference for several veterinarians of Quebec.
